Gallery Talk: Shomei Tomatsu

Island Life

On Wednesday November 6th from 12-1 curator Matthew Witkovsky will give a gallery talk  exploring Japanese photographer Shomei Tomatsu's current exhibition up at AIC. Tomatsu's show features tightly composed and moving photographs that are guided by his finely developed sense of light and visual poetry. The subject matter of the series are Japan's Southern Islands; locations Tomatsu has been fascinated by for a long period of his career.
