Josiah McElheny
The Arts Club of Chicago

Two Clubs at the Arts Club of Chicago is sculptor and filmmaker Josiah McElheny's collaborative exhibition with John Vinci. Vinci is the designer of the Arts Club building and one half of the Vinci and Hamp architectural firm. The exhibition is a two-part installation of McElheny's film "The Light Club of Vizcaya: A Women's Picture" and a site specific performance titled "The Club for Modern Fashions". The performance involves a glass pavilion which performers occupy during the lunch hour dressed in vintage attire from the 1920's to the 1970's.

McElheny's cinematic style and resulting exhibition seems appropriately timed to coincide with the 2013 Chicago Film Festival scheduled to start this Friday.
